Workshop at Brunnenpassage

Liminal Archive; Storytelling Workshop and Performance

Join Living Theatre and Al Límite Collective members in a storytelling workshop and performance at Brunnenpassage this June.  The workshop is inspired by a theatrical project titled Liminal Archive, created through a global virtual arts exchange in the early days of the pandemic.   Through storytelling techniques in movement, object improvisation and vocal exploration, participants will co-create an immersive theatrical experience that guides the audience through intimate vignettes of personal stories of loss, triumph, hope and home.

Day one: Sunday the 18th, 2-5pm- Storytelling and ensemble movement
Day two: Monday the 19th, 5-8pm Storytelling and ensemble movement
Day three: Tuesday the 20th, 5-7pm- **Bonus Special Street Performance workshop**
Day four: Wednesday the 21st, 5-8pm: Final rehearsal and performance and 8pm for invited friends and family

*Note for participants: If you would like to perform in the show on Wednesday it is necessary to attend at least Sunday or Monday workshops.  Wednesday rehearsal is mandatory for all to perform.   Ideally, participants can attend Sunday, Monday and Wednesday but we can accommodate.
Tuesday is separate from the Liminal Archive workshop and held entirely outdoors for street performance techniques and devising collectively.

BIO:
Al Límite is a placeless, borderless award-winning collective of multi-disciplinary, multi-lingual, international artists striving towards the decolonization of the body, and building community resiliency through art and performance.
We devise performances, rituals and celebrations as acts of creative resistance in non-traditional public spaces and sites of injustice. We seek liberation through theater, in order to create new works that center the audience, engaging them as active participants.
After a decade of creating collaboratively and touring across the world, from Latin America to the Middle East, from Europe to Asia, our work has centered around collaborating with artists, non-artists, refugee and immigrant populations in workshop intensives to devise original performances focused on local social justice issues.
Al Límite Collective was founded in 2020 by nine core members formerly of The Living Theatre.
